What is Totus Tuus?We are excited to be co-hosting Totus Tuus this summer from Sunday, June 18th - Friday, June 23rd! While Totus Tuus will be held on site at St. Peter in Ashton for the Day and Evening Program, and at St. Francis Xavier for the Family Night, our whole Pastorate is joining efforts for this fantastic week of faith and fun in the summertime! We warmly welcome all parishioners and school families from our new Pastorate of St. Bernard, St. Mary of Pine Bluff, St. Francis Xavier, St. Peter, and St. Martin to register using the online form below. Grade school age students (designed for children going into first through sixth grades in the upcoming school year) will meet Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.*Middle and high school age students will meet from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18th - Thursday, June 22nd.- The location for both programs will be at St. Peter Catholic Church & School located at 7121 Country Road K, Middleton, WI 53562.
- Family night is for all age levels and will take place in the St. Francis Xavier (SFX) parish hall located at 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains, WI 53528 and will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening; Bishop Hying will let us know soon! Everyone from the whole parish is invited!
- *For the family night potuck and the Bishop's talk, the middle and high school program will be at SFX.
Totus Tuus accomplishes this by having college students, young adults, and seminarians engage the youth of the parish with skits, songs, games and inspiring, interactive teaching.
Totus Tuus instructs young people in the basic tenets of the Catholic faith to cultivate both a firm intellectual grounding and a solid personal relationship with Christ and demonstrates that one can be a faithful, practicing Catholic and still have a lot of fun!
Totally Yours
Totus Tuus, a Latin phrase meaning “totally yours,” was the motto of Saint John Paul II. Taken from St. Louis de Montfort’s work, True Devotion to Mary, it signifes our desire to give ourselves entirely to Jesus Christ through the hands of our Blessed Mother Mary. It also expresses our effort to give all that we have to every young person we encounter.
Totus Tuus seeks to inspire in young people a true longing for holiness, a deep desire for daily conversion, and an openness to their vocation by challenging them to give themselves entirely to Jesus Christ through Mary and by continually strengthening their prayer lives in imitation of her.
Curriculum
The Totus Tuus program has divided the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church into a six year cycle. Additionally, each summer is dedicated to one of the mysteries of the Rosary.
In 2023, Totus Tuus will cover:
Theme: The Mystery of Salvation
Mysteries: The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary -
Grade School Program (Students entering Grades 1-6) $50 per student
Junior High and High School Program (Students entering Grades 7-12) $20 per student
